Beacon Rock State Park Hike and Lunch at a Brewery

Join hike leader Steve Carples for a leashed dog-friendly hike in Beacon Rock State Park, followed by lunch in Cascade Locks at Thunder Island Brewery. Steve has been a hike leader for Friends of the Columbia Gorge for three years, and has Wilderness First Aid certification. Non-dog owners are of course welcome to join us .

 This is an easy to moderate 3 mile hike with 600 feet of elevation gain, first to Little Beacon Rock and then to Rodney Falls, before returning back to our cars.  Time allowing, there might be an additional option to ascend Beacon Rock (1.8 miles and another 600 feet of elevation gain) for expansive views of the Columbia River Gorge.
