Join the Movie Mavens for Ema Ryan Yamazaki’s delightful 2017 film about the history behind Curious George. A manuscript of the first book was one of the only objects the Reys carried with them as they escaped the Nazis by riding bicycles out of Paris in 1940. This “terrific documentary” with “perfectly tailored animation” (Cinemacy) shines a light on the Reys’ creative process, hardships, and deliberate choice to live life with whimsy.
