The Mittleman Jewish Community Center, OJMCHE and PDX Hillel have partnered with Eastside Jewish Commons for a deep dive into the topic of Antisemitism on college campuses. A 3 part program, which includes workshops, an online visual exhibition and a panel discussion, kicks off in October with the aim of providing resources to incoming college students, (high school sophomores through seniors and parents/guardians) and preparing them for higher education in today's political climate.
The workshop titled Finding the Right College Fit: Navigating Campus Life as a Jewish Student in Today's Climate, will feature College Counselor Jody Bothe and PDX Hillel Interim Executive Director Andy Friedland. Jody Bothe holds a Masters in Education form University of Vermont and a College Counseling certificate from UCLA, and has over 35 years of certified experience guiding students on the path of higher education.
